Highlighting NITROcrete's Industry Leaders: Brandon Echard
March 19, 2021 | Fort Collins, Colorado
Concrete industry leaders build bridges between the ancient and the innovative. As a 2,000-year-old technology, concrete production is foundational—yet susceptible to stagnation from long-entrenched practices. With that, industry leaders like Brandon Echard ask questions that disrupt the status quo every day: “how can we make this better?”
In a newly formed position designed to enhance customer and field support, Brandon Echard joined NITROcrete as VP of Field Operations earlier this year, but his journey with NITROcrete began long before 2020.
Back up to 2017: Brandon found himself wandering the aisles of CONEXPO. But his task was far from aimless. He arrived at NITROcrete's booth as a man propelled forward by a mission. That year, he and his former company continued asking hard questions about adding to their existing efforts around jobsite safety.
Like many in the industry, Brandon's objective was clear: find more ways to protect his people. “Safety has grown exponentially over the years. We’re light-years ahead of where we were even a decade ago. Every company is investing more in safety—and turning to innovation to level-up,” said Brandon.
This bent towards forward-thinking drew Brandon into NITROcrete's momentum; first as a customer, then as part of NITROcrete's team of entrepreneurs and innovators. In that 2017 conversation in the booth, Brandon learned about NITROcrete's automation that can eliminate injuries from ice cooling with a fresh approach.
“Worker injuries can cost upwards to 41-46k—and beyond that financial strain, this is peoples' lives,” Brandon shared, growing more animated by the topic that's close to his heart. “What happens when someone's out of work for months from a slip, fall, strain or laceration?” Brandon shared about the urgency for NITROcrete's technology.
“Automation sometimes gets a reputation as something that takes away from people. But in this industry, automation gives so much back to people with more safety. More freedom and more control,” said Drew Nelson, NITROcrete CEO. “Brandon's part of the leading-edge of innovators who have tons of boots-on-the-ground experience, too. His practicality and vision for safer job sites across the globe make him an exceptional leader on our team and resource for our customers,” Drew said.
“NITROcrete feels fortunate that Brandon landed here to continue moving our industry and customers forward by helping them better protect their teams,” said Mike Schauer, NITROcrete COO.
Industry leaders like those among NITROcrete Nation's team and customers know that a 2,000-year-old industry still has a long way to go—and they share a passion for ensuring the industry has all the tools they need to protect their people today and into the future.

NITROcrete is the world leader in concrete temperature control. In 2012, what started as a jobsite problem for a partner evolved into a product that is revolutionizing the concrete industry. The team listened, tested, developed prototypes, and made adjustments. Then they listened more, tested more, and in 2017, after 5 years of R&D, they introduced NITROcrete, a comprehensive concrete solution born directly out of the concrete industry.
The largest concrete companies in the world now use NITROcrete to simplify their processes, streamline their operations, and grow their bottom lines. NITROcrete provides a comprehensive concrete solution--cooling, system management, and support--which gives its worldwide industry partners unmatched efficiency, control, and peace of mind.
